Get Active @ Office

I am really happy to learn that our office building will be offering us free Zumba classes on every Thursday. Me, being one of the Zumba fan, together with my crazy colleagues, we happily signed up for the class.

Today, being the 1st session, we found out that there are many active people in our office area and very excited to check out the routine. It was held at the foot of our building in an open space where a stage was set up.

Class started promptly and the routine that the instructor taught was pretty familiar as I have started Zumba since March. However, she didn’t really communicate with the class as she changed her moves pretty quickly and it was somehow rather difficult for some of us to follow. Her music was not too bad and noticed some familiar songs that were used for my Zumba too.
Though it was an hour of exercise, I felt really great to sweat it out after long hours in the office. We will definitely sign up for the next session.

Happy Father’s Day

Our family always tries to make it a point to celebrate every occasion with the family and this is one of those we love. Being the third Sunday of June, most countries celebrates Father’s Day.

Though Mother’s Day are somehow more popular amongst the occasions, but there is a need to celebrate Father’s Day too as they too are important people in our lives. They are usually the ones who will hang out with the kids, playing some games while the mums are busy and some even helped the kiddos with their homework and tuck them to bed.

Well, at least those were the stuff my MAN does when I am busy with stuff or housework. I believed there should always be equality in a family and both husband & wife should play their parts as parents and spending quality time with children are precious.

Today, we celebrated our Father’s Day at Dian Xiao Er located at Vivocity as location is convenient for everyone especially our parents in law…
Happy Father’s Day to all Fathers and May the Lord always watch over you.

Shana Turns THREE

My little niece Shana turns 3 this year and my cousin invited us to his new nest for the party. They have moved to this new place so that Zoe need not travel too far to school.

They booked a function room for Shana’s party and had a cute decoration too. It was indeed a cozy function room where they had 2 dining tables and a sofa sitting area at the corner. The buffet spread was placed outside the function room.

Faith was really excited to be there as they hired a bouncing castle outside the function room while Emma was rather shy to join. Faith went straight to join her cousins in the bouncing castle while I took Emma for a walk around the beautiful place.
My cousins planned some games for the kids to keep the kids busy besides playing in the bouncing castle. They had Treasure-Hunt where all the kids were supposed to hunt for coloured eggs placed all around the area. Everyone was having fun searching for the eggs and Faith was happy that she managed to find more than 8 eggs.

We gathered the kids around the sofa sitting area for the cake cutting ceremony and the birthday cake was soooooooooooooooooooo cute! It was a jelly cake and that simply made the kiddos went crazy! It was refreshing to have agar agar as birthday cake and everyone enjoyed it.
It was a simple but fantastic party for the kids and thank you Kor for having us. J

Happy Blessed Birthday Shana! May the good Lord watch and protect you always!

Lady Faith’s School Party

I would say this would be the busiest time of the year for me as I will be tied up baking birthday cake for our beautiful first born.

This year is no exception, tried out to bake her My Little Pony cake with some decoration help. It was quite a pain doing fondant but this time round, it turned out pretty nice though there are still some flaws here and there.

We requested her party to be done in the morning as we have other plans for her in the afternoon. When we arrived at her school, she was all set and ready for the celebration and so were her friends. They gathered around that little table to check out her cake while I revealed it to them. They cheered that the cake was pretty and they simply got excited.

The teacher helped to gather them around the table for photo-session before they start singing her the birthday song. She was all smiles and proud that all her friends loved the cake. We too were happy to see happiness on all the cute faces in her class. They sang the birthday song loudly and then followed by the cake cutting ceremony.

Faith gave out her goody bags to her friends and they were very happy to see their names on both files and note books which were customized. I was happy that they liked it as to all effort I had put in were worthwhile.

Brought the birthday girl for a movie and though it was a simple celebration, she was happy that we spent time with her on her special day. I do know that it is so important to spend each occasion with them as this is one of the best bonding and creating memories moments that will not come twice.

The day did not end there, we brought her to her favourite Italian Restaurant Pietro for dinner and they surprised her with a chocolate lava cake as her birthday cake. She was overjoyed and finished them all quickly to be home for her presents opening ceremony.
The moment she has been waiting for was finally here – OPENING OF GIFTS…. She opened each gifts with care while I told her who they were from. She was happy to receive many gifts from mummy’s friends and of course her ultimate gift was from US.

She was guessing her present from us but was incorrect till she saw the box… she gave out a loud scream and it’s the Star Lily she wanted ever since she was introduced by her Aussie friend Bella. J She fell in love with Star Lily the moment she set her eyes on her and couldn’t stop thinking about this beautiful pony which made sounds, moves and responses when you pet or feed. J
Faith told us that she had a wonderful birthday and we were happy & thankful to God for having her as our daughter.

Happy blessed birthday sweetheart! May God continue to watch and protect you always! We love you dearly!!!

Lady Faith Is SIX!

Woke up this morning recalling 6 years ago, I was lying in KK Hospital with Baby Faith in my arms and today, I could only put my arms around her as she stands tall! How time flies man!!!

It reminded me of the moment I was in the Delivery Room playing Word games with Theresa and Linda in bed waiting anxiously for her arrival and there she came after the stroke of midnight. J It was such an overwhelming feeling to hold her in my arms for the first time as she looked into my eyes. J awwww…. too fast!!!

Today, baby Faith is SIX and I truly thanked GOD for watching and protecting her over all these years and May the Lord continues to bless her with good health always!
Happy 6th Birthday sweetheart! You are always precious in our hearts and we love you very much!

Lady Faith Turns 6

My heart always skips a beat when it comes to our daughter’s birthday party… that shows that another year is gone and they have grown again and so have we!

This year being turning Faith’s 6 years old and we wanted her party to be something that she will enjoy as we believed that her next birthday party would be probably when she turns 12.

We arrived early at KidzAmaze at Safra Toa Payoh for the part one of her party. She had an enjoyable time at the indoor playground with her cousins while the parents and elderly chilled at Toast Box as lunch venue was not ready.
This is one of the indoor playgrounds she has wanted to go and we are glad that this somehow fulfilled her birthday wish a little. It was quite pity that some of my friends’ kids weren’t able to join her for the fun due to their own engagements.

We hosted luncheon at Hoshigaoka which is located besides KidzAmaze and yes, it was really convenient for us to check out our kids while we lunched. We were given a private area for the party and it was really nice to have the whole place to ourselves. Food was served pretty promptly as we had our food pre-ordered before the lunch crowd rushed in.

Lady Faith was thrilled to see her birthday cake when I opened up the box and all other kids came round to check it out too. They were excited about it and Faith could not wait to have the birthday song sang to her.

As everyone seemed to be finishing their luncheon, we began the cake cutting ceremony where everyone gathered to sing her the birthday song. The kids gathered themselves around Lady Faith without any help and it was such a breeze.
It was a great party for both adults and kids as they got to continue their play at the indoor playground while the adults sat and chilled. We received good feedback for the birthday cake and happy that it was a sell-out this time. Hahahaahaha….

Thank you everyone who have joined us for this wonderful celebration for our Lady Faith and those lovely gifts that you have presented to her. God bless you!
