A Family Outing To The Singapore Flyer

It was a long weekend and hubby decided to take the family to visit the Singapore Flyer. We went to lunch at the Food Trails where I brought hubby there twice. We ordered quite a bit of the dishes to share like sting ray, fried hokkien mee, French beans with minced meat, fried oysters and satays.

After a sumptuous lunch, we went to ride the Singapore Flyer. It was first time for our parents, sister-in-law (Sheryl), her son Nicholas and our little Faith. When we stepped into the capsule, Faith was curious where she was and started to look around.

I carried her to show her the view and the beautiful sight from above; she looked amazed and seemed to be enjoying what she was seeing. The view was much better than the previous time hubby & I rode two years back.

I would really think that the Marina Bay Sands was really a great icon for Singapore which stands so beautifully at the bay. I am sure that the view will be even more spectacular once the new Botanic Garden is up.

During the ride, Shevaun was walking around in the capsule and seemed to be enjoying herself. She was walking all over the place and stopped at the side to enjoy the view for a couple of minutes. Baby Faith saw her cousin walking happily and wanted to start too without knowing that she can’t walk on her own yet!!!

She insisted so, father-in-law held her to walk round the capsule. After a short walk, she looked satisfied… she rested for a while and wanted to try again…
It was a great family outing though it was only half day. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we will be planning for another one soon.

Faith & Her Weekend Adventure

We had a weekend get-away at Conrad Hotel and we bumped into Rie who also celebrated her birthday with her hubby there.

She came over to my room to visit Faith (her Crush) and had fun with her. She finally managed to carry her for a little while after many attempts. She spent a good short quality with her and left for her birthday lunch with her family.

After our dinner, we returned to hotel for soccer match and chill out with our little one. She really enjoyed hotel stays and played happily on our comfortable bed. I really wondered what bed Conrad Hotel is using that our life easier to put her to bed…hummmphh…

Breakfast at Oscar’s was an enjoyable too as she was able to eat some of the food at our table. Well, not all but BREAD only… hahahaahh… she was already overjoyed and excited when we put the bread to her mouth. She clapped when we asked if it’s tasty… funny indeed.

Her favorite moment would be her bath time. The bath tub in the hotel was big and she simply want to check out every area… while we were preparing for her bath, hubby put her down in the tub and she was all excited and took the rubber ducky with her and moved around…

Our weekend stay ended after our luncheon at Marina Square and some shopping. It was a great weekend spent indeed.

Lunch Feast At Singapore Flyer

We found a new lunch hangout recently and it’s at the Singapore Flyer. The ‘Food Trails’ was opened recently and heard that they have some popular hawker food stall there.

We decided to try out today. There was even a free shuttle bus from our office building to Singapore Flyer which was extremely convenient. It took about 7 minutes from our office building to the Food Trail.

When we arrived, we noticed that it wasn’t crowded and the ‘high class’ hawker was very nice designed. It resembled the old Singapore street stalls and most of them are the famous brands…

We got down to order some of the tasty food like sting ray, French beans, chicken from the chicken rice stall, mee goreng, sambal kang kong, fried egg omelets and sambal fried rice. Man… for a moment, we forgotten it was LUNCH!!!!

The dishes we ordered were delicious and with 7 members, we managed to clear all the food we ordered. I was really stuffed…

Mmmh… the food was really good and I am sure we will be BACK!

Advance Birthday Celebration

My best buddy & partner-in-crime will be heading for business trip to Japan for a week and we decided to celebrate her birthday with her in advance.

We went to Mr. Curry at Marina Square and it wasn’t crowded on a weekday lunch time. We were seated almost immediately and all of us were excited with the colorful menus. Finally, we have decided our preference and placed orders.

The food didn’t take long to serve. The mushroom dish that Leng ordered as a side dish was very delicious. It was although simple but was really tasty. I tried the beef curry with chili padi and it was good though not as spicy to my liking. I remembered the one at Central was better as they mixed the chili padi with the curry which made it extra spicy.

We simply loved the salads as it was refreshing and very tasty. Almost everyone ordered a different main course and we really enjoyed the food there. The service was good too as the waiter who served us given us a discount for a-la-carte as we were from Mitsubishi. Hahaahaahah…..
Anyway, it was a simple but enjoyable birthday celebration indeed.

Happy birthday in advance buddy KK!

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Ivy Junior & hubby Kang Yong for the arrival of their little princess Kylie.

Welcome to the World Kylie sweetie. May you always be a healthy and happy baby!

Cheers!

Dinner With Miyazaki-San

Our beloved ex-boss or good friend rather visited SIN again and he invited us to dine with him at No Signboard Esplanade.

He was here for a short holiday as it was Japan’s Golden Week. However, it still remains a mystery he has been doing during his 6 days stay here. When asked about his stay, he told us that he met up with some of the bosses here for dinner or lunch and mainly just came here to relax!!! Mmmmh…. That really left us wondering.

When he walked into the restaurant, we were all in shocked as he lost so much weight compared to the last time we met him. He looked so tiny and fit but honestly, I preferred him with a little bit of fats… despite him growing smaller, he is still the same good man that we know him as. (This is the most important factor).

Anyway, Leng & I browsed through the menu and ordered most of our favorite dishes… hahahahah… that is pretty usual la. We ordered bamboo clams, chili crabs, white pepper crabs, sambal kangkong, mee goreng, sweet & sour pork, etc… just to name a few.

It was a great dinner to catch up not only with Miyazaki-san but also good to see mummy Florence and Susan. There were many conversations during dinner and Miyazaki-san told us how he made it to loose about 11kg! We were really amazed by it. He told us he wasn’t on medication but exercised a lot and ate wisely.

The food at No Signboard was not too bad except for the chili crab which tasted quite salty. As for the mee goreng which was my favorite wasn’t spicy enough for my liking. I guess everyone’s favorite would be the bamboo clams except for Hwei Ling who avoids seafood due to her skin allergies.

Everyone had a great time and its all thanks to our beloved Miyazaki-san.
