Christmas Gathering

It is a yearly affair that we will meet for dinner before Christmas or New Year. This year, it was only Fantastic Four who were able to meet up as one of them is travelling and the other had to work.

After a long discussion, we booked Jamie Oliver at Forum as our dinner venue as I simply love the food served in this restaurant. The taste is beautiful and price is not too pricy for the food quality. It was Theresa’s first visit and she wasn’t sure of what to order but we just ordered whatever we love.

The food we ordered did not disappoint us at all but kept us wanting for more. Yes, we can be a bunch of hungry greedy kids wanting more food to fill from stomach to the throat! Hahaahahahah… Okay, it is not all about eating afterall, we did some catching up and we were in discussion on planning for our next gathering already as time passed so fast that we didn’t notice it passed!

It is always the case that we will each go home with a goody bag and BAGS of pressies everytime we meet up. This time, it’s no exception too except lesser coz’ two gang members were not present.

Thank you guys for the wonderful time spent together today and I am looking forward to our next one yea!!! Meanwhile, Blessed Christmas buds!

Shevaun Turns 9

It’s indeed a month of celebration when it comes to December. We just celebrated little pumpkin’s birthday and today, we are here as a family once again to celebrate Shevaun’s birthday.

The party was held at Timbre Barracks and we were here for Shevelle’s birthday early this year. The place is really a great heaven for kids where they have allocated a kids’ corner where they will be occupied by face painting, art & craft works and even a small area for kids to enjoy their coloring. If that’s not enough to keep your child busy, you can let them play the bouncing castle or bubbles on the field.

The food there was not too bad but we were interrupted by the heavy rain which the field activities had to stop. The kids continued their fun when the staff started playing the musical chairs with the kids at the kids’ corner.

After the cake cutting ceremony, the rain stopped and it was somehow a perfect timing for all of us. The cake was pretty tasty and the kids loved their magic wands and their wings. 😊

Happy Blessed Birthday Little Pumpkin

My GOODNESS!! Look how fast you have grown!! My little pumpkin is officially FOUR today! She was happy that she did not need to go to school today as I told her that I will grant her a day off since it was her birthday.

Asked her if she wants to head out but she preferred to stay home to watch her favourite shows, play with her toys and spent time with ME! WOW…. I was really happy to hear that coz’ I know I can save some money… hahaahahaha…. Anyway, weather was rather hot so, it was somehow good to stay home instead.

We headed out to one of our favourite joint, Pietro for dinner and as a birthday celebration for her. She loved the food there and little pumpkin ate quite a bit. 😊 We went home after dinner to sum up the birthday celebration for her. 

She was so surprised and happy to see another cake presented in front of her and she was really excited and even sang along the birthday song with us. She made her wish quickly and hurried daddy to assist her to cut the cake.

The cake was delicious and nope, it’s not baked by me. Mmmh…. Perhaps I will consider baking it for her next year. 😊

Luncheon With Buddies Before X’mas

It is almost coming to a year since I stopped work and I am glad that I was given the time to spend with some of my close friends.

Today, I am happy to meet up with some ex-colleagues whom I was closed with when I was still working and I will always remember those happy days we spent in the office. It used to be so fun in the office despite other DHs watching as I do not give a shit about them at all.

Meeting up with Koko, Kat, Leng and Daphne was definitely great for both Rie and I. During luncheon, we caught up with each other and it was rather sad to hear that things are so much different now compared to those happy days. They are somehow unhappy with the management but as usual, there is nothing anyone can do about it. Sighz… it’s really sad to see your good friends going through hard times and you are not able to help.

With an hour of catching up certainly is never enough but having them to join us is definitely precious as those opportunities doesn’t comes often as they are always busy with work.

Thank you guys for taking out precious time to join us for luncheon and I do hope my desserts will brightens up your day at work.

Brownies

Baking makes me happy especially when I see smiles on faces who eats them. I am really grateful to my friends who really supported me from the beginning of my baking journey and now they have started placing orders with me.

Here are the brownies ready for collection and I really hope they will enjoy them with their family and friends.

Little Pumpkin’s BD Celebration

Today, we are heading to Emma’s school to celebrate her birthday with her friends. I baked some muffins for the teachers just to share the joy with them.

I ordered the cake this time as I was too tired to bake and I am not professional to bake such a huge cake. Little pumpkin was really happy when she saw the cake and her classmates were thrilled and excited to eat the cake.

The teachers were really kind and helpful to prepare the table for the small party and they helped to gather the kids at table for the cake cutting ceremony. It was quite a breeze to gather the kids as they were drawn to the cake and were ready for the ceremony.

Her Chinese teacher helped to cut the cake and we had Lady Faith and Emma to distribute to her classmates and teachers from other classes. 😊 Everyone was really happy and enjoyed the cake but they were more excited to be given their goody bags by Emma. 😊

Thank you teachers for allowing us to have this party at school and thanks for the arrangements.

Little Pumpkin Turns FOUR

OMG!!! Where have the TIME GONE!!!! Honestly, I am still living in those times when she is still a baby and crying out for milk every 3 hours. Now, she is only asking for milk twice a day! Geeezzzz… my baby is growing up way too fast!

We organized a birthday party for little pumpkin at Wildseed, we were happy that our family and friends were able to join us in celebration of Emma turning FOUR! We really appreciate that many of them were early birds and we were able to get the party started earlier than the expected time. We were lucky to pre-order some of the food as it actually took quite a while for the food to be served as it was quite crowded where many came for Sunday Brunch.

We were happy to be given a private dinning area for the party and our guest had more space to move around or at least in the comfort within the party area. 😊 As the food being served, the kids ate their meals as quickly as they could so that they can be on the bouncing castle which was set up for them by the staff. 

We were really glad that the kids were having so much fun with that sole bouncing castle as their play area! While they were at the bouncing castle, the adults were having some peace to have their meals and catch up with friends over coffee.

We took a break from their fun and had the cake cutting ceremony as usual. The kids were happy to see the cake and they were spotted choosing the characters on the cakes too. Little pumpkin was really happy with her cake and she can’t wait to put the knife on it. 😊

This year, I prepared goody bags for both kids and adults. The kids were really happy to see their goody bags and the adults received the home-made brownies as their goody bag. 😊 I was really grateful for the good weather and all who took time to attend this celebration with us.
