‘The Legend’ Gathering

We were invited to Linda Lim’s club at The Legends situated at The Fort Canning. It’s my 2nd visit to her club and this time, it’s for mahjong. Though the club is located on a small hill but the facilities are pretty much the same as those bigger clubs in Singapore, just that it’s slightly smaller in size.

We were all excited and looking forward to hang out together and before we even set off to our destination, we began taking pictures at Millenia Walk like as if we were tourist!

Before heading to the mahjong and karaoke session, we had dinner at ‘The Café’ where they served both buffet dinner and a-la-carte dishes. While waiting for our food, we took some cool and nice pix (that’s the usual thingy!) The food we ordered were good and at reasonable price.

After dinner, Linda, Angie, Susan & Patrick proceeded to their ‘Game Room’ for their mahjong session. The room was cozy enough for mahjong players and game watchers. As for the KTV room, it was very big enough to occupy 15 pax comfortably… The only minus point were the ‘un-updated’ songs. They were so old that it brought us back to our good old school days.

While some were playing pool outside and 4 others having a stressful mahjong game, Anna & I were enjoying our own ‘concert’ in the KTV room… it was so fun when we sang some of the cool old songs like ‘Love in the 1st degree’ & ‘I heard a rumor’ by Bananarama. We were dancing to the songs and it seems like Mambo at Zouk!! Hahahaa… it was simply funny.

Not long after, those who were playing pool outside came back to join us in the KTV room and it was Philip who started to perform….hhahaahha… it was hilarious... he sang ‘Billy Jean’ by Michael Jackson and even danced to it. Next he was acting like Bee Gees while he sang ‘Night Fever’. There weren’t updated songs so, most of us sang oldies but we had loads of fun with it.

Though it was a simple night out with colleagues but it was certainly enjoyable. Will be looking forward to the next one…

Mother’s Day Celebration@BSC Alpha BBQ Party

My dear friend Susan was appointed to organize an Alpha BBQ party in conjunction with Mother’s Day celebration at Blessed Sacrament Church. The tickets were sold at $10 per person.

We bought tickets to the party and bought mum along since they are celebrating Mother’s Day too. We thought it would be great for mum to join not only will she meet her old time friend which was Susan’s mum, she will enjoy the fun night in church.

Susan was the main host for the night and started off with ‘ice-breaker’ game where it’s time to get everyone let loose. Soon after, there were some games and then followed by dinner.

The food spread was pretty good. There were some catered food and a small BBQ area for those who love BBQ satays, ohta, hot dogs etc… mum simply loved the dessert (sea cucumber jelly). It was so good that you could have a 2nd serving. For me, my favorite dish would be the BBQ sauced chicken, it was great… mmh... tasted like Kenny Rogers’ chicks.

After dinner, it was another round of fun and games. This time, we began with ‘Tribute To The Mothers’ since its Mother’s Day. We invited all the Mothers up on stage and requested them to do a cat walk as for us to choose the ‘Mother of Alpha BBQ Party’…

The Top 3 Winners

Initially, all were shy about being on stage but when they were asked to do the cat walk, most of them were very spotting. They did all kinds of pose, walks and even blow kisses at you. It was really fun to watch all the mums enjoying themselves on their special day.

There was also a karaoke session for everyone. Mostly all the oldies… Then suddenly, Richard requested hubby and me to sing for everyone… we were shy but we did it. Before ending the night, we had a mass dance and it was really cool as everyone joined in for one last time.

Cheers to all Mothers…..

Linda’s Birthday Bash@DBL O

It’s been a long time since I attended some birthday bash in a club. Most of my party friends retired from partying after their marriage and these days, family come 1st. *smiles*

Last night, Jessie & I went to our dear friend Linda’s birthday bash at Double O which was organized by her friend Angeline via Facebook. The turn up was pretty good and it was my 1st time to party with her friends and 2nd time to DBL O.

During my dayz of clubbing, my friends & I used to club at Velvet and simply love the music there. DBL O music has a mixture of hip hop and pop music which left me kind of weird… perhaps I am not used to such music but somehow, it was a good experience all over again… (Trying to fit in)

Liquors will never be left out in any birthday bash and here’s no difference. Her friends bought her different types of liquor and made her drink her lungs out. Soon after, there was an ‘ice’ War and everyone went crazy. Not sure how it started but somehow 2 seconds later, we saw some ice cubes flying in different directions and even in some guy’s pants… man.. it was messy and funny!

Kangz… hope you enjoyed yourself at DBL O… Cheers!

Peter's House Warming

Last year when we were told that Peter had bought a unit at The Chuan, we have been looking forward to view the premises.

Finally, his place is ready and invited us to his house-warming today. His new home is situated near Lorong Chuan and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1. His place is also besides schools like The Australian School and St. Gabriel’s.

When I arrived at his unit on the 14th floor, the 1st impression was the balcony which was really cool. I didn’t really stand at the age of the balcony coz’ I am afraid of heights! It was like an extended piece of wood with glass panes. It was totally horrifying for me to stand more than a minute as the wind was pretty strong in the night.

View From The Balcony

The whole place was really nice and modern where he actually made a bar serving area which I thought was quite nice. There are 4 bedrooms and his master bedroom was really impressive as it was rather big for condo.

The party was held at the poolside where most of my colleagues and ex-colleagues were chilling out under the umbrella… (ella ella ella.. eh eh … under the umbrella) hahaahah…. Anyway, buffet spread was quite alright and there were even BBQ items if you’re not the basic buffet goers…

I simply love the poolside as it gave me very comfortable and resort feeling as it was windy and nice. We just sat there and chat the night away and of course… Peter will never let us off if we did not contribute our stomach for his expensive wines… hahahaha…
